Sometimes, like today, I get homesick for the heat and humidity and the long rolling cornfields and thunderstorms of summer in Illinois. Thanks for putting that feeling into words ~ right down to the Taystee Freeze. :) It's a chilly, but finally sunny, afternoon in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. The 4th of July will always hold great memories for me...and with the smell of cotton candy...I am back there in a flash.
